(This is my first Blackberry, so its still new to me.)

The second line on my plan expires 1 year before the main line does, when this line's contract expires do I have to I remove it from the plan completely myself and switch from a family plan to an individual plan, or will tmobile do it for me?

I think i want to switch carriers but I don't want to end up paying to get out of my contract.

BlackBerry Today Theme

I upgraded from the 8800 that I have had for 2 1/2 years to the 9700. One thing that bothers me is that the phone does not contain the BB Today theme, which displayed your two most recent phone calls, two most recent messages and your next two appointments on the home screen without having to click. Does anyone know where I can get the BB Today theme? Thanks.

I am a bit disappointed with the battery life of the Bold. While on UMA, the battery is dead after about 6-8 hours and with the UMA off the battery is not much better. Is anyone having the same problem or does anyone have any tips on improving the battery life?

Beware of plan changes made by calling customer service

I called customer service in July to change my plan on one of my phone lines to eliminate the text messaging, but I still wanted the unlimited to remain on my main line. Well, apparently, they changed my main line to a limited 1000 text messages per month plan. I didn't catch the mistake due to the fact that I never went over that amount for the next couple months. However, I recently went over that amount on my last bill and was charged a fee of $108.00?!?! when I called to get the problem fixed I was told that since the change was made back in july and it had been over 2 months there was nothing they could do about removing the overage charges and also told me that my new bill which I haven't received yet has another $138.00 in overage charges?!?! My plan is up in a few months and I don't expect to continue my service with T-mobile unless some resolution is made regarding these charges. I think it's ridiculous that I have to pay for someone else's mistake. My advice to all is....if you already have T-mobile, make sure you check carefully over your bill each month especially if you've called to make changes, and if you don't have T-mobile, then don't get it.

The weirdest problem ive ever run into!

I am a teir 3 Data Technical support agent for verizon wireless so i pretty much know the ins and outs of how the networks do what they do and how the networks can fudge up but this one blows my mind. So i have a mytouch rooted with amons 1.2.3g recovery and cyanogens 4.2.5 with fat32/ext3/swap partitions. Ever since 1pm today there is a single person in my contact list (happens to be my gf) that i cannot complete calls to. Any time i dial her number weather it be 11, 10 or even 7 digets the call only manages too squeeze half a ring in before my phone beeps and the call ends. Facts: this is the only person who i cant reach. she can call me/i can call others others can call me/others can call her i tried deleteing the contact and creating another under a diff name, tried just dialing the number instead of using the contact. both her and i have contacted tmobile support and they couldnt find anything in the switch that could be the cause. she does not have me checked to ignore my calls(i have her phone right in front of me) i was able to contact her twice this morning. at about noon i downloaded a weird game that started with a w from the market(one of the first few that show up as soon as you enter the market) wich i have since deleted. the only thing my gf did with her phone was use it to tether. ive reloaded cyan 4.2.5 twice and wiped both times. I know this is usualy not a topic for the developer section but based upon all the trouble shooting myself and 2 tmobile techs have done i think it might be cyanogens 4.2.5rom. anyone wanna tackle this beast?

MMS picture message problem with BB 8320

well, i'm back from a 3 hour (no exaggeration, 3 hours) wait at the local T-mobile store. I thought this was a simple problem, but i guess it's a lot more complex than i thought. no resolution at this time, but i did get a trouble ticket number for my 3 hours wait.

Problem:

mms picture text does not work. I can't receive pictures, and i can't send them. i'm receiving no error messages, they just don't appear

the problem doesn't seem to matter if it's in or out of network.

does not work even if i send it to myself

when i sent a test picture to an AT&T number, my friend received the text portion, but the picture was not attached.

BB tech was able to see every outgoing mms picture from my phone, but that's the end of the line, does not hit the phone numbers thereafter.

Attempted solutions:

power cycled (more times than i can count now)

made sure the software version is up to date (it is)

checked the network settings per BB tech to make sure everything is ok (it was)

activated my BB device with my gmail account

powered on without sim and then back with it

pulled my sim out of my phone, put it into another 8320, to send picture (WORKED)

now, from the test with the other BB 8320 using my sim, i would be willing to accept that my phone may be broken? but it doesn't make sense that i can send it out, have it hit the network, but not go through? especially if the BB tech can see the MMS.

my plan is unlimited data / bb / etc.

any ideas?
