Re: --R U 100% satisfied w|ur MyTouch3G??

I was 100% happy with my phone, now that it's rooted I'm 100% happier. No lag, good FB app, Twitter apps work great, no complaints.

I'm about 80% happy with mine.  The lag and slowness is the real killer and the slow camera as well.  I'm willing to live with them because Android is still new and it has a lot of potential.  I've gotten good at keeping on top of my apps with TasKiller.  I've also thought about rooting a bunch of times, but just don't have the patience to deal with it if something goes wrong.

So easy to root. I will put together a current consolidated one click root process with all the steps in order with all the files. I will help with mt3g users flash Cyanogen mod as his is failsafe for noobs. When you get more comfy with the process then you can move on to hero roms which require a few more steps on the root process. There are some great videos on unloker too as well as a great guide in the operating forum. You will be 110 percent happier and wondering why it took you so long to find root :smileyhappy:

In Cyanogen ROMs at least, currently multitouch is poorly implemented in most apps, including the browser. It hasn't been implemented in Gallery and other native applications. Pinching marginally works in the browser, but it hasn't worked very well and I've used it like twice since rooting months ago. If the feature is improved in Android 2, that would be great.

it doesnt work great cause the phone isn't entirely meant for it... the phone recognizes only x axis and y axis movement like on a snap grid thats why it isnt super fluid and gorgeous like the iPhone ;( but it does work and the framework for apps arent meant to use multi touch that's why they dont

Please do not discuss rooting here. Discuss rooting in the OS & Development forum. Thanks. :smileyhappy:

Haha. I knew this was coming. I originally said my phone was modified to avoid using the "r" word.

Re: --R U 100% satisfied w|ur MyTouch3G??

I am 100% satisfied/happy with myTouch. I came from Virgin Mobile, where I could barely if at all, get service in my apartment. While I am not in a 3G service area, speed is 1/2 decent. The stock keyboard, which many people complain about, is NOT an issue for me; I guess it's because i don't have fat fingers*lol* (no offense meant to anyone). Someone mentioned ring tones not being loud enough, I have to disagree(in a way), it all depends on the song you use, it's not the phone itself; for example, the ring tone i use just about scares the wits out of me when the phone rings. So yeah, I can't imagine life without the myTouch. :smileyhappy:
