Exactly how 'personal' will we be able to make this phone? I know the wallpaper and what not can be changed...and that there's some info on the Tmo site about personalization but will you actually be able to (for example) have the case of your phone show a picture or artwork or something or there are there pre-set designs only?

you can upload your own photo or design to be put on a shell from skinit.

Yeah you can actually personalise your own case. But its only the back part of it which means the battery cover.

You can make your own skin custom at skinit.com. Plus you design a shell too. So it can have preset or custom

There are also home replacement applications you can download from the android market that you can use to apply themes and replace icons, etc.

I bought the Merlot, and after seeing it at a store I liked how 'cherry-ish' it was, I made a cherry picture for my shell...

Up close it looks like just squiggles, but at a distance it turns into the cherries...

Thanks -- made it, using computer generated squiggles and a photo mosaic program.  I used http://cherrysalon.com/images/cherries%20bunches.jpg as the source.

I think using filters and such from Photoshop on google images is the easiest way... plus you can make the pictures higher res, and it sounds like the low res 72 dpi pictures from image searches make for fuzzy shell prints...
