Also i still know the 5% is total BS... if its not BS then why has T-Mobiles CC been "unavailable" for so long? i assume they have more CC reps to help more than 5% of their customers! Plus t-mobile being down is all over twitter

Just to further comment on "T-Mobile going under", I ran a google of the size of the companies.
Here's what I found:
Verizon 70.8 Million
AT & T 72.9 Million
TMobile 115.2 Million
As stated previously, T-Mobile is HUGE internationally....

Bad timing. Just before your service went down, my sister called to tell me that her husband was being hospitalized with internal bleeding. I waited to hear how he was doing -- then realized that I had no phone service. I now have to rethink my decision to abandon a landline. We have to be able to count on your service at all times. Find a back-up.

I was completely unaware of this until late last night. I just assumed it was a peculiarly quiet day for my phone.
Come to find out this morning that my job had been frantically calling several times after 7pm for a work-related emergency. I have a meeting this morning about my lack of response.
I'm feeling VERY over T-Mobile now.

It is 8:43 am here in Baltimore, Maryland - still no service.
Someone told me that apparently this is being done to aggravate us all to the point where we just upgrade.
Guess who isn't paying this month's bill! ![]()

First, thank you for you efforts in restoring service. I appreciate that
I simply cannot believe how people love to complain. This is just one of those things. Nothing is absolutely for sure. Ever lived through a power outage, a natural disaster? Does your car break down?
Everyone affected suffered, but hey, what did you do when there were no cell phones? You waited until you got home or used a pay phone. Are people not in tune with what is important in life? It was actually kind of nice driving home and not having the phone ring all the time.
Again, thank you.

I was down from around 5 PM Central until 2 AM (Houston, Texas). This was after the SK fiasco, and before that, not having good service after last September due to Hurricane Ike. I'm getting tired of the service issues. I'm jumping ship in March but getting a prepaid AT&T kit to hold me over until then.

Even though we've had pretty good service with T-Mobile, this really sucked and the timing couldn't have been worse.
My wife and I both work 40 miles from home. She usually picks up our girls from daycare because her hours are start/end and hour before mine. Well, last night she had to work late so we were trying to coordinate who could get to daycare before they closed (and start charging us $5/minute for being late). Guess what happens, no network coverage for the last 20 miles of our ride, so neither knew who was going to be able to pick up the kids. We both ended up racing against rush hour traffic and both driving out of the way just to ensure we had our children. We hardly ever use our cell phones while driving, but for the few times you need to get in contact with someone right away, you really need a reliable network.
I hope they figure out the root cause to prevent this sort of thing from ever happening again. Also, to maintain some customer goodwill, they should compensate people for at least a day's worth of billing (not that this is even a drop in the bucket for the inconvenience caused to their customers).

Because 5% of T-Mobile's customers is 1 million people. Way too many to be handled by a department designed to help a few hundrend at a time.

My phone is still messing up. I am in Austin Texas and this has been going on WAY too long. I agree with some of these post. I am not a person to complain because there are much more things to worry about in life than a 12 hour outage.
To everyone elses responses, do i think we should get compensated? YES. I work for Cisco and I know if we do perform to the standards that was mentioned, we give a refend or partial refend.
I just hope this gets fixed soon.

Maybe you need to check your phone - service has been restored for everyone I know. You having a problem is not the same as an outage.

I have had T-Mobile since the VoiceStream days and this is a very rare thing for them. I have worked in this industry for over 19 years and and have sold various types of equipment to all of the wireless carriers. I know that everything is backed up to secure uptime. T-Mobile, thank you for your great service. I also believe that you should give us the whole detail of the problem and not just something to soften the blow... I know that this was not a domestic issue in North America. There were way more than just 1.7 million people affected. There is that many users in the DFW area alone. This was a Global issue, I have friends in Sweden that could not make calls. Be honest and give me reason to always believe what you say.

Cisco has among the worse performances -- T-Mobile would have to be down for a month to be compared to you bozos.
