I have two passwords set on my phone, but I don't know if I really need them. I set a password to lock the phone and one for the SIM card, but I don't know if they are really useful. What are some reasons why the passwords are useful?

its for your own security... so that nobody can access your phone, only you can

But I don't think anyone around me needs to use my phone. They have their own phones.

nah, its basically only for the phone.. so that you can prevent strangers in accessing your phone..
