Switching from individual myfaves plan to even more family plan

I am still under contract (about 2-3 months) with my individual myfaves plan. I want to switch my family over to T-mobile (they have US cellular) with the even more family plan. With this, I'm hoping to still get the big discounts on the phones for everyone, including myself.

Will i still be able to get discounted phones if I switch over?

As long as you are making the switch to even more, and not the even more plus rate plans, you most definitely can still get discounts on phones! Now keep in mind, your eligibility for discounts on phones is going to be based on the last time you upgraded your phone, so you may not be eligible for the discounts the new lines are.

Again, make sure you are looking at Even More, and not Even More Plus. EM+ pays full price and breaks the price down over 20 months.

Glad you are moving the family over, and welcome to the forums!

Re: Switching from individual myfaves plan to even more family plan

Thanks so much for the quick reply! I went to T-mobile today and unfortunately I cannot get a full discount since I am 3 months away from the upgrade date but my family members can. I want to keep my number and get a Touch Pro 2 but they are so expensive. I've been seeing that T-mobile offers customers (with approved credit) to be able make payments for new phones with 0% interest with the new plans. Will I be able to do this as well?

Yes, on the Even More plan you can pay for anything over $19.99 in four separate installments (you pay the first one in store when you buy the phone and the subsequent 3 show up on your next three bills).

If you are planning on taking the discounts on phones, you are eligible to break the phone up into 4 payments within a line of credit.

Now if you opt to go with the new plans, you do not get a discount with the phones, instead you pay full price and have the amount of the phone broken down interest free over 20 months. Depending on your credit, the larger line of credit you will have to break down the pricing of phones.

And TP2 is a bit pricey, but it is top of the line for Windows Mobile phones, and has a great screen and keyboard!
