I just logged on to my tomible account because i saw a commercial for really cheap unlimited plans. There was a plan for 39.99 for 1000minutes which is what i pay for 300 with my faves. I tried to add this but it says some plans are incompatible and are automatically removed - including the web2go for 9.99 plan that works with my iphone. The only other package to select is the $10 web for phones plan (with the same name, and a free trial i might add). I am very interested to find out if there is a way to may it work with the iphone because the minutes plan is a major deal. Also, I thought maybe this will get finally get us 3G on out iphones!

Thanks for instructions on using iphone on t-mobile> This is my problem. I already have unlimited Blackberry data plan with t-mobile (no voice), and am out of contract. Do not wish to sign a contract. If I get the first generation iphone, I only have one sim card. Do I have to buy an additional plan from t-mobile in order to use iphone? That would cost, minimum, 500 talk minutes plus unlimited data: Around $54.00 plus tax. How can you get around this? I don't know if you can move your sim card from Blackberry to iphone and back! I have long fingernails, which makes virtual keyboard very difficult to use on iphone, I email a lot, so hate to give up BB, and can't stand AT&T. I also adore iphone. What are my options? (Verizon is my cell carrier for voice, very reliable). Any advice is most welcome, before I go out and buy a used first gen iphone...and find I can't use it because I have only one sim card!. And end up with very huge cell phone plus PDA bills! Advice much appreciated!!!!

This reply is in regards to unlocking your iPHONE for use with tmobile. Keep in mind once to unlock the iPHONE and you sync with itunes remember do not update the phone always say not to update option. If you update your phone will revert back to At&t. We unlock and jailbreak $15 and unless you know how to do it your self every time your accidentally say yes to the update option you will lock up your phone. We are constantly reminding people DO NOT UPDATE. we repair all phones as well if we cant repair your phone we DO NOT CHARGE YOU. If the phone is stolen the phone can be over the air locked or if you go online an update the software version your iPHONE will be locked otherwise your safe. The iPHONE will be locked back to At&t. Thank you for that info. I think it 's probably easier to stick with first gen iphone but good to know about resources like yours.i have heard of those problems happening when people try to update the 3G.

Yo... tmobile has unlimited plans starting at 49.99 and they have unlimited everything for 59.99, the only problem i have with that is... if i get the unlimited everything for 59.99, will my tzones hack still work on my iphone..... i dont know.. if anyone has this answer please let me know.

It worked on my iPhone 3G using internet2 rather than epic.

I also turned on wifi and seems to still works.

Help needed! Okay, I bought first gen iphone (owner says he updated to 3.0 or whatever, but still a first gen), was told it is unlocked and jailbroken. Transferred sim card from Blackberry (have unlimited data plan with email), iphone reads t-mobile, but could access nothing, T-mobile tried to tell me I must purchase a voice plus data plan to use iphone.Some kind of nonsense. I was hoping to be able to configure iphone so it would access data and email and internet, and hopefully be able to switch back and forth between BB and iphone. I have a friend who is pretty savvy with tech things. 1.CAN the iphone successfully be configured to run on the data plan I already have with t-mobile? 2. CAN I ever switch back and forth between BB and iphone? 3.CAN you use a stylus (sold on Amazon, etc) for typing on iphone? I have long nails. Or am I going to have to sell my new iphone on eBay? Help and Hope greatly appreciated.

I got an iphone 2g unlocked and the texting stops working after texting for a few hours. I don't have a data plan, is that the reason why my texting cuts off?

Are those setting supposed to work with the get more plus plans? I tried all three and nothing? we have two diff Plans one Indiv Plan and One family plan everything works for the family plan but not web on the individual plan, Please help I'm lost without my data plan...  : )

I want to thank everyone who has answered my posts re: how to run an iphone on t-mobile. This is certainly an active and helpful forum, and very informative. I still don't have the total answer..Maybe you can't run an iphone and BB on one data plan and switch the sim card.back and forth although one respondent said they did...And I am not keen on paying two data plans. We will see what develops. If anyone out there actually switches cards back. and forth, please, let me know. Thanks again. Still nice iphone, looks nice in box. Have friend who will make sure it is unlocked and jailbroken, but that won't make it run on a network!

Tried apns epc.tmobile.com,internet2.voicestrem.com,and wap.voicestream.com. 3g is off roam on everything else is blank. Either wont connect or says I need to buy a data plan. I have the 9.95 unlimited. Works fine on my tmobile phone. Do I need the other plan? Everything else is great on the phone.

Hello, At the moment I have the plan called "Unlimited Web for Phones with FlexPay" for $10/month (using a Nokia). Will it work with the iPhone or will I have to upgrade to the $25 data plan? I somehow never understood these differences in pricing...

For anyone out there who has a 3g iphone using on tmobiles network - do you have wi-fi available - like you can have the phone run off of WiFi?

@danigirl79 yes you can have it run off WiFi

@jujuinla it should work. just swap out sim cards. (assuming you jailbrake + unlock + all that jazz to get it work on t-mobile)

@civicduty after you the get EM+ or EM log in to you account at mytombiile.com and add the 10.00 data plan =) and your back to normal

I was told by a tmobile person that my iphone could use 3g service....that sucks that i cant ...finding out after i switch carriers.  Isnt there something tmobile can do to switch this frequency and make it work...my videos now take 10 times longer to download.

so I tried your settings on my iphone 3g and it works, I was able to get on internet with wifi disabled. however.....i recently found out that I don't even have a data plan! my brother has it on his line and its just the smartphone unlimited web plan for 24.99 on his line, so it is not shared so only he is able to use it....then when I told him that I was able to get on the internet on my phone, he just freaked out and said that we would get charged for my date usage since i dont have that service on my line....is that true?? Before i just thought that if you didnt have internet or data service you just wouldnt be able to get on internet at all but it seems you still can, you jus get charged for it. can someone confirm this?

Nope, T-mobile and AT&T use different 3G frequencies and are not compatible with each other and cannot be changed. T-Mobile (1700mhz, 2100mhz) AT&T (850mhz, 1900mhz)
