Re: Introducing the Nokia 5130!

does this phone support flight mode? it seems that by updating the firmware to 6.x (i'm not sure about 'x'), flight mode will become available in the profiles. do you know which firmware T-Mobile has on the phones it sells now?

oh, and btw, on the T-Mobile website, this phone is said to be only tri-band (which is wrong).

thanks

Re: Introducing the Nokia 5130!

So far I have had no luck with signal strength on the xpressmusic phones.  I have had a prototype of the 5130 for a while and it seems just like a 5310 other than the case.

Re: Introducing the Nokia 5130!

sure. i have ordered this phone from T-Mobile, and to answer my own question about the firmware, it has v6.68 from 05/11/2009 which supports 'flight mode' for music playback.

Re: Introducing the Nokia 5130!

The manual that comes with your phone leaves a lot to be desired so I can only give you general guidance based on other Nokia's. From your menu go to tools, then profiles. Select the profile that you desire, like general, silent, meeting, outdoor etc. If none of the profiles are exactly to your liking then highlight it and select options. There you can change the phone to vibrate only or vibrate and ring together etc. Hope this helps.

Re: Introducing the Nokia 5130!

Mine has stopped locking itself, and I dunno how to fix it. And is there any way I can set a password so that you need to put it in to read my texts?

Re: Introducing the Nokia 5130!

Go to Menu -> settings -> security

From there you'll see how to set your phone to lock itself automatically.

Also you can try Menu -> settings -> phone -> Automatic keyguard -> on
