hi..

im a foreigner, just got samsung t929 memoir from my friend in us.

I didn't know that every cellphone in us is locked, so when i opened it, i was type the standard lock for phone in my country twice.

Now it's freeze. 

So can any body help me or any suggestion, how to make this phone works.

If i buy unlocked code onlide, can it works to my phone, since the phone is freezing right now..

This is certainly an interesting situation that we have here on our hands!

Here is the run down regarding unlocking any T-Mobile phones.

Essentially, we support unlocking our phones, but a few things need to be in place for it to essentially be eligible.

Unlocking a phone does not coordinate with the phone's SIM card, or anything like that. It all comes down to a specific number on the inside of the phone refered to as the IMEI number. The IMEI number is unique and specific to each phone, so essentially, if we bought two T929 Memoir phones together, the IMEI numbers would be different on phone.

Regarding the phone being "locked" I'd probably need more information as to what is showing on the main screen. If you have attempted to enter a SIM Subsidy Unlock code incorrect multiple times, it may be as the phone is now completly locked and can only accept a T-Mobile SIM. This is very situational, but unlocking a phone is a very delicate process and can only be attempted roughly 3-5 times.

Ideally, if you have an active account with T-Mobile, call Technical Support for further assistance would be my best suggestion. As far as unlocking the phone on the internet through a 3rd party? I'd certainly advise against that, seeing as there is no guarantee of service, or functionality with them.

The problem occured when i inserted the sim card. 

then it asked for network lock. iI remember enter numbers twice.

And then it said Phone freeze, sim unavailable, please contact service provider.

Below it there's options SOS and Keypad.

So if i dont have the active account with T-mobile, what should i do?

Or can i asked my friend there to contact the technical support?

so if i called into the customer service department and gave you the code you would give me the unlock code?

The unlock codes are generated from a different system that is unavailable to technical support. To do so, it may take up to 4 days to receive the code. The code and steps to unlock the phone would need to be emailed.

Beyond that, the account needs to be eligible to be considered for a SIM unlock.
