Samsung Memoir Phone Lock Question

Hello, I purchased a TMobile G1 after I had my Samsung Memoir. I haven't used it for months now & somebody wants to buy it, so when I turned it on it has a Phone Lock code after it boots up. I don't remember what code I used for it back then. Is there any way to reset the phones settings? I don't mind if I lose any data since I am going to sell the phone anyways. Usually there is a master reset for phones by pressing a key combination or something, but I've searched online and haven't been able to find anything.

If you have any idea, please let me know

This is the Phone Lock screen on start up.

Thank you in advance

Re: Samsung Memoir Phone Lock Question

Certainly, you can reset your Samsung phone. You're really lucky actually! Samsung are one of the few, if ONLY cell producers which allow for a phone to be reset outside of the phone, externally.

Once completing this code, it will reset EVERYTHING not backed up via SIM card (contacts) or Mass Storage/Memory Card (pictures, music, etc)

1. You'll want to restart the Samsung phone with NO SIM in the device.

2. At this point, the phone will prompt you and say "NO SIM MODE" or "NO SIM INSERTED"

3. Here, you'll want to dial this number, as if you were calling it:       *2767*3855#

4. Once you enter that, you will see a prompt on the screen reading "Do Not Power Off During **E2P* Full Custom Reset"

5. The phone will automatically power off, then power back on and read a similiar message as in step 2.

6. Power the phone off, replace the SIM.

7. Enjoy the fact all codes have been reset!

Hope this helps!

Let me know how it works out!

Re: Samsung Memoir Phone Lock Question

That didn't work. When it gets to the Phone Lock screen & I try to enter the code you provided me, it says # is not a valid character.

So, it's still locked with a Phone Lock password.

[ Edited ]
This is the screen I am stuck on
As soon as the phone starts, I need a 4-8 digit code
* and # are not valid characters

Is there a hard reset option? A key code I can press to reset the whole phone?

Re: Samsung Memoir Phone Lock Question

Turn off the phone, then turn it back on.  From there, touch the icon for the dialer, then enter the code listed above as if you were making a call to that number.  It worked perfectly for me.
