Is your router showing the wrong timestamp? Instructions on fix here.

All you have to do to correct this issue is adjust the time zone in the router interface to yours!

You can do that by following these steps:

Accessing the router's administrative Web site

After you are in the routers interface, scroll to the very bottom of the main ssetup page. There you will find Time Settings. Now choose the correct time zone.

This should reseolve the issues with the wrong timestamp on calls.

If this issue persists after resetting your time zone, or you are having probelms with the process please post in here, and we will do our best to help.

Thank you!

Re: Is your router showing the wrong timestamp? Instructions on fix here.

Ever since the 1.00.21 firmware, the timestamps on my caller id show up as "0/0 12:00AM".  I have the right time zone settings in place.  The issue even persists after doing a factory reset on the router.  Any ideas on fixing that??

Re: Is your router showing the wrong timestamp? Instructions on fix here.

Here's the problem (I've experienced this myself)

1.  The router only queries the time (from an NTP server) once at bootup.  If, during a power failure for instance, the router is finished booting before your cable modem (or whatever), the router will fail to get the time.  Rebooting just the router itself (assuming you have an established internet connection) should allow the router to get the time.

2.  The router doesn't query the time AT ALL if you have assigned a static IP address to it.  My solution has been to assign a static lease from my DHCP server.  I suspect this is a timing issue.

Hopefully, T-Mobile can convince Linksys to have an NTP daemon running so that queries are made hourly.  This should solve both problems.

For some reason this fix is not working for me... actually I cannot access the address(s) listed.  If I click on the link or type either address in I get a message that I cannot access the web page. I never get any further than that. Please help.

Here's how to find the right address to access your router.

Click on the Start button... If you're running Vista right above the start button type in cmd in the box and hit enter.

{If you're using XP, Click on the Start button and then click Run and then type in cmd in the box and hit enter.}

At the DOS command prompt, type in ipconfig /all      Hit the enter key

You will get a report for all of your network connections... both wired and wireless.

Find what you are using and look for the line that says 'Default Gateway'

Mine says 192.168.1.1 for the router I'm using right now, which is not the @home router...

Your number will probably be different.

That's what you will type in the address field of your internet browser to access the Router's administration page

Here's the same link as above once you get the correct number.

Good luck

Re: Is your router showing the wrong timestamp? Instructions on fix here.

I well just received my replacement router since my other one went bad, it was at Firm ware v1.00.15 which the correct one for Static IP's to work but then it was auto upgrade to v 1.00.21.   My ISP requires static IP so I think T-Mobile needs fix the firmware or allow to run older firmware.
