How long do these people continue to send these? I'm getting one every other day. I use the pre-paid pay as you go so there are no credit card issues possible so I know its a scam but how long will they continue sending the messages? It's annoying! Of course I'm older so technology in general is annoying to me!

I've been receiving one of these nearly every day since the 9th. Always a different short code and a different number. It's eating into the low balance I keep on my emergency prepaid phone. I did a chat with a t-mobile CR and received a $2 credit, but at this rate that will soon be exceeded.
One of the return phone numbers, 877-221-0395, is listed on these web pages:
"The Maine Witchery" http://themainewitchery.com/default.aspx
"Guiding Spirit Counseling Center" http://www.guidingspirit.org/servicesfees.htm
Also this text with the same number shows up as an entry on Google search for this number at this link: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4501681478
"VT? Then you need to call Killington Houses Inc. They offer Family Vacation Rentals, Luxury Ski Chalet and much more. Call us today! PH: 877-221-0395."
When I follow the link I don't see that text, so it must only exist in Google's cache at this point.
I notice they've stopped using the "Co-Op-Service" name. Someone posted at http://800notes.com a report for another number:
"Contact your banks fraud department- abuse@cscu.org for Co-Op services credit union. They have had the Federal Trade Commission shutting these guys down on a daily basis."
I wonder how they keep getting issued new phone numbers.

I had received two messages today...one from a Miami, FL area code and another from an 800number @mail.tmail.com (never heard of this one) and they both told me that my USBankDebitVisa card was restricted/limited. FIrst of all...I do not bank with USBank, nor do I have any of their cards. I do not use any emal from T-Mobile....and not sure how I had received these messages. I wonder if there is a way to block these messages from happening again. My cellphone is a G1...and the only people who message me are the ones who I have given my number to.

ok i have been getting these messages for about a week now everyday,i called and complained...ended up blocking all types of messages, text picture im and email, its a pain but at least im no paying to receive spam anymore.
the rep agreed it is most likely tmobile customers sending these through the online messaging feature but no way to block just it or trace it...i am a prepaid customer......there has to be someway of stopping this.
please tmobile do something about this....even if it deleting the messaging from internet home pages

There is a surge of spam emails coming to Tmobile user's phones, saying something to the effect of "your US bank accnt [partial credit card number] is restricted, pls call 866-491-5883"
http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-866-491-5883
Numerous Tmobile users is reporting this Psh at the above link. My phone has being getting these spams on Nov27, Dec1, Dec3, Dec4, Dec5. I'm now getting about 3 such spams per day.
While little can be done to the spam originator, if the spam originator is e.g. in Nigeria.
However, I find the lack of corrective action from Tmobile unacceptable.
I've scoured the Tmobile support site. There is absolutely nowhere you can set your phone to automatically reject incoming email-to-phone messages. I don't even use my phone to receive internet email, for crying out loud. One would think these spam messages are easy to block.
Oh, that's right, Tmobile charges fees per message you RECEIVE. I almost forgot about that. I can see an incentive where Tmobile would let these spammers roam unobstructed.
It's incredible when there's more concentrated reporting of this problem by Tmobile users in a non-Tmobile forum (see link I attached above), and a complete absence of coordinated reporting forum on Tmobile site itself... One can also see from the reports that it's Tmobile users that are being targetted by these spam/Psh. I wonder why people reporting these spams are not users of ATT, Verizon, etc... Maybe I should switch network?

Actually, T-Mobile DOES let you block email-to-phone messages. You can setup spam filters for emails directed at your xxxxxxxxxx@tmomail.net email address.
Login to my.t-mobile.com > Connect and Share > Configure e-mail > Create e-mail filters
These should be easy to setup for anyone that has setup similar filters in the past. Although, you should know what you are doing befor you try, because you could end up not getting messages you want. If you are unfamiliar with setting up these types of filters, please get help from somebody who is a techie.
These filters only work for messages sent as email to the tmomail.net address and won't block non-email text messages.
